What Are Report Downloads?
Report Downloads display the number of hits and visitors for each NIST Technical Series Publication PDF. Requests from web crawlers (spiders) are excluded. "Hits" counts the number of times a file was accessed or downloaded. A "visitor" is counted when a file is accessed on a particular date by a unique user. For a technical description, see the comment linked here. Please watch the brief video explaining how to navigate and search the reports located above the monthly reports and raw .csv files. Each Report Downloads page is an imported Jupyter Notebook .html file that uses python to display a searchable table from a .csv file. If you're interested in running and/or tweaking the code yourself, please visit the Jupyter notebook file, hosted on GitHub.

- Note: the download statistics in this file were produced using a prioperitary software program. This program defined downloads as follows:
- the number of visitors to a particular URL based on IP address.
- If two requests from the same IP address occur more than 30 minutes apart, they are listed as unique visits.
- Requests from web crawlers (spiders) are excluded.
